About the Artist

In L.A.'s eastside enclave Echo Park there are more indie rock bands than grocery stores. Scarier than monsters waiting are the hordes of record labels and music bloggers out to find the next Shins or Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Yet beyond the hype you can find great bands like Monsters are Waiting.

With echoes of 1980s new wave and dance, the spirited Annalee Fery leads a set of musicians who frequently switch instruments onstage. Their first album Fascination out last year brought a set of sexy, savvy songs. These shimmering skills so distinctive early in their career promise a monster-sized future.
