About the Artist

With their club-friendly grooves and cocksure moves, these English lads have had no trouble finding fans. Their latest LP, Empire, went to number one in the U.K., and they already had American audiences captivated with "L.S.F." from their debut album. Wonder if they're into fashion? Kasabian has an advertising deal with Burberry.

Dossier Style Snapshot

Answers by Sergio Pizzorno (vocals/guitar)

Do you have a favorite musician whose style you really like? Has that musician influenced your style? Keith Richards. Has always looked effortlessly cool as fuck.

What does Playboy mean to you? Bunnies and the top shelf at the newsagent.

Beatles or Stones? Changes all the time. Stones at the moment; we supported the Stones in July. Watching Keith Richards playing those riffs was pretty special.

Were there bands you heard at a certain point in your lives that made a huge difference in how you thought about music? Yes, DJ Shadow, Ennio Morricone, Prefuse 73, The Stones, they all opened a whole new world for me. Oasis had a big impact on us.

Do you guys have a pre-game ritual or a superstition before or during shows? Not really. A few drinks and some warm up tunes does the job.

What makes a good show from your perspective? The fans make it all worthwhile for us.

At what point do you know a song is good? Do you ever have an idea you just know is going to kill on the dance floor or live or whatever? From the demo stage, you sort of know whether a song is going to be good or not. But when we all get together in the studio and play it for the first time is when you really know.

Favorite new band? I really like this Scottish band called The Fratellis who we have been touring with.

Favorite driving album? Oasis, Definitely Maybe

Favorite bedroom album? Marvin Gaye, Trouble Man
